Hall of Fame Breakfast
Coach Harwood grew up in Rockville and played youth sports at St Judes, then he played basketball at Peary High School, before playing at Montgomery College (where is the 3rd all time leading scorer and a member of their Hall of Fame). Then played at Boston University under Hall of Fame Coach Rick Pitino.
He is the all-time leader in wins in the history of Montgomery County basketball coaches with 565, his teams at Magruder have won 14 division titles and 7 region titles and 2 State titles. Including the 2001 27-0 #1 ranked team in the Washington Post. Coach Harwood as seen over 50 of his players continue to play basketball in college. Last year Coach Harwood was inducted into the Washington DC Metropolitan Basketball Hall of Fame.
Coach Harwood has also run his very successful basketball camp the last 27 years.
