Steve Beck is the President & Executive Director of the Military Bowl Foundation, which is responsible for the operation of the annual college football game, the Military Bowl. Steve has been in charge of the Military Bowl Foundation since its inaugural year in 2008. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the game, which is held each December. He serves as the Bowl’s liaison between the teams and conferences, guides team selections and negotiates all contracts. Beck’s responsibilities also include development of the Board of Directors, as well as oversight of the Bowl’s finances, sponsorships and marketing. Beck spearheaded the Bowl’s move to Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis in 2013.
Steve also serves as the Executive Director of DC Touchdown Club and Managing Member of Patriot Point (www.patriotpoint.org). Patriot Point is a 290-acre retreat for wounded, ill and injured service members, their families and their caregivers on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Beck played a driving force in the purchase of the property and establishment of Patriot Point.
From 1998 to 2002, Beck served as Vice President of Sports America and assisted in producing the McDonald’s All-American Game, Capital Classic, Quarterback Club and various other events.
