Geoff Gonella is a founding member and the President & Managing Partner of Washington, D.C.-based Cornerstone Government Affairs, LLC. With 11 offices across the country, Cornerstone is a full-service public affairs consulting firm that specializes in government relations, communications and lobbying. Prior to launching Cornerstone, Geoff spent a decade at the largest independent government relations firm in Washington, D.C. Geoff has been involved in politics and political campaigns at the local, state, and federal levels, including extensive work throughout the state of Maryland, for the past 20+ years. Geoff is also very active in the community, serving on the Board for several organizations including the University of Maryland College Park Foundation, Phillip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland, the Washington Jesuit Academy and the Suburban Hospital Foundation. He is also a past board chair of Mater Dei School and Kids Voting USA. Geoff, a native Washingtonian, holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Maryland.
